Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Electrical Engineer for immediate employment in our Buildings + Places, NY Metro Group. We have immediate employment opportunities and are looking for the best and brightest to come and join our growing multidisciplinary team. Qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate an established career within the Electrical Engineering profession, holding roles in all phases of design and contract administration. Highly desirable candidates will exhibit increasing levels of responsibility and accomplishment accompanied by a strong leadership skillset.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Field assessment work including leading an assessment team in performing facility conditions surveys

  • Work on exciting programs in traditional electrical engineering roles to include design, production, and contract administration

  • Any other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or MicroStation

  • Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office suite, as well as power and lighting system analysis software

  • Familiarity with National Electric Code, International Building / Electrical Code, and other relevant regulatory guidelines

  • Understanding of the importance of budget limitations and schedule requirements, having the ability to adhere strictly to both sets of constraints

  • Leadership experience and the ability to work closely with a small group of professionals in various disciplines with successful outcomes

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to implement and follow AECOM company and / or program policies and procedures

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks on a daily basis

  • Interact and communicate effectively with other team members across disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in:

  • Field inspections

  • Facilities assessments

  • A/QC responsibilities

  • Contract administration

  • Previous work within multidisciplinary teams

  • Sustainability, resiliency, and/or climate adaptation experience a plus but not a requirement
