AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Database Administrator/Programmer for immediate employment in the New York, NY office. This position will report to the Chief of Quality and VP Chief Safety and Resiliency Officer. The incumbent will in addition to supporting the two departments also provide analytical and statistical support to other MTACC departments and programs when support will be required. The candidate has a primary responsibility for overseeing all MTA Capital Construction Quality and Safety related Data Base Management. This position provides administrative, research and analytical support to the Chief of Quality and VP Chief Safety and Resiliency Officer of MTACC.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for planning and analyzing requirements related to data management and propose appropriate solutions.
Responsible for the design, programming, development and data management of MTACC two operating departments
Design and develop data management structure for managing data and creating reports to management
Manage and maintain data to perform trend analysis that helps to implement process improvements
Develops applications and reporting structure for loss prevention analysis, accident reports, quality nonconformance reports, development and charting of trends contractors safety and quality performance
Provide summary reports for submission to MTACC funding partners MTA & FTA
Responsible for development and maintenance of web based applications for remote data entry and data management including mobile devices application development and maintenance
Coordinate with MTACC Quality and Safety Departments on various reporting strategies to ensure a consistent understanding of reports.
Communicate with various projects on matters related to Quality and Safety Data Entry, Data Management and Reporting.
Provide a weekly and monthly status reports on all MTACC Quality, Safety, Site Security, System certification, Testing and Commissioning activities
Analyze and provide trend analysis for each program for making management decisions for process improvements
Analyze site data and prepares reports to MTACC Management
Using Programming techniques; develop and implement new data base management process to improve the reporting format and simplify the data management process
Utilize structured process to use web based applications to remotely enter data and maintain centralized data management and reporting
Assist in all software related activities in programming, data entry, data management, data analysis and reporting
Provide research and analytical support to the Quality and Safety Organization
Develop Power Point Presentations for weekly and Monthly upper management presentations.
Maintain stringent Quality Assurance of the data, reports and charts provided for management review and decision making process
Prepares documents for MTA board meetings
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of experience in data base software usage and programming
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to be highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Capability to use SQL Server 2008, Business Objectives 2010, SSRS, ASP.NET 4.0
- Working knowledge of MTA policies, procedures and systems
