Job Summary

The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise functional communications plans that drive AECOM’s revenue, growth, value and reputation. The Corporate Communications Manager will provide counsel and strategic communications support to business leaders to drive the functional business objectives, build stakeholder trust and inspire employee advocacy. Specifically, the role will support the IT, Real Estate, Global Business Services functions and the firm-wide Technical Excellence program.

The successful candidate will join a geographically dispersed global communications team to support the execution of activities that inform, engage and inspire employees about projects, programs and developments that impact and improve the way they work and drive value for the business. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing communications strategies to raise awareness of AECOM’s functional programs and priorities and drive engagement and compliance in related programs and initiatives.

  • Creating and leveraging common processes and resources needed to drive engagement and position the functions as a critical partner.

  • Activating innovative and best-in-class communication practices and strategies into functional communication plans to strengthen business leaders as communicators and improve the quality of communications from the functions.

  • Creating and managing ongoing functional content including email, newsletters, feature articles, multi-media, mobile applications, publications, senior leader presentations and speaking engagements.

  • Collaborating and partnering with the enterprise change management organization to develop and implement change communications plans that effectively inform and engage employees about organizational changes and new ways of working.

  • Managing the annual internal communications survey process.

  • Interfacing with and appropriately leveraging Corporate Communications colleagues around the globe to align activities and provide support.

  • Serving as a strategic partner to internal clients to provide communications counsel and support

  • Managing projects effectively to ensure timely follow-up and follow-through of deliverables based on production schedules and that all materials meet internally-set quality and consistency standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related discipline.

  • Five to seven years experience in large-scale, corporate communications.

  • A global mindset with experience in collaborative, matrixed environments.

  • A team player with demonstrated enthusiasm, proactivity and reliability.

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex materials and craft creative and compelling content.

  • Superior written, oral and visual communication abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing complexity and multiple priorities.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong internal relationships and work effectively across a large organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with content management systems (such as SharePoint, Salesforce, Vignette).
