Job Summary

Responsible for supporting enterprise-wide employee communications, events and engagement initiatives including leader- and manager-focused communications. Will work with cross-functional and geographically dispersed members of the communications team and internal clients to support the execution of various communications vehicles and events that increase employee engagement and tell the AECOM brand story. In addition, this position will contribute to other special Corporate Communications projects. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with internal clients to design and implement leader- and manager-focused communications that drive employee awareness and engagement.

  • Supporting internal and external communications for the company’s corporate social responsibility program.

  • Helping with the planning and execution of AECOM Live! – the company’s quarterly town hall meeting for all employees.

  • Partnering with the Global Corporate Communications team to leverage enterprise communication programs, message platforms, assets and channels to support business priorities.

  • Creating and delivering engaging, high-quality communications that tell the AECOM story in a simple but compelling way.

  • Helping activate AECOM’s employee value proposition and employer brand through internal events, including assisting with the execution of the annual Global Leadership conference.

  • Developing, managing and publishing pages and content for the company’s Intranet.

  • Supporting efforts to ensure messages reach target audiences through a variety of formats.

  • Analyzing feedback, measurement and impact of campaign activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism or related discipline.

  • One to two years professional, corporate communications-related experience, preferably in a global, multi-site company.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills, including copyediting and familiarity with AP style.

  • Ability to synthesize complex materials and to craft creative, persuasive language and compelling messaging for a variety of global audiences.

  • Experience building and maintaining strong internal relationships.

  • Ability to represent Global Communications in a collegial, cooperative and collaborative manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proven ability to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products.

  • Self-starter capable of assuming responsibility for several tasks at once with little supervision.

  • Project management and organizational skills.

  • Experience with content management systems (such as SharePoint, Salesforce, Vignette).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Experience with Adobe Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with a global, multi-site company.
