Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

We are recruiting a Senior Project Manager as part of our continued development in France. Reporting to one of the Paris office Investigation, Remediation & Decommissioning (IRD) team leader, you will principally take part in soil and groundwater investigation and remediation projects (including, but not limited to, historical and documentary reviews, soil and groundwater quality characterization assessments; development and implementation of remedial action plans based on BATNEEC sustainability and costs-benefits principles, human health risk assessments, contaminant fate and transport modelling) whether as an individual or a team, in accordance to client requirements, local regulations and international standards, focused on, but not limited to, the region of southern France. More specifically, your role will comprise:

  • Identification of potential clients and opportunities;

  • Securing and managing clients, projects and contracts;

  • Development of scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments

  • Development of new business, marketing to potential and existing clients;

  • Organizing, executing and coordinating projects,

  • Financial responsibility for project execution/delivery in accordance with the project plan;

  • Developing project plans, including identification of resources for project execution;

  • Delivering projects in compliance with our quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures;

  • Proactive reporting of quality, environmental, health & safety issues or suggestions;

  • Performing site visits/inspections/assessments and supervising subcontractors, as and where required for successful project execution;

  • Delegating work to, training, and supervising less experienced-level staff (project engineers and junior project managers) to complete assignments;

  • Performing, where needed or appropriate, assignments individually;

  • Reviewing of client deliverables for final review and approval by the project director;

  • Performing technical presentations internally, to clients and the French Administration;

  • Providing advice and consultation to clients as regards to IRD engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Environmental investigation and remediation of contaminated sites for industrial clients;

  • Pragmatic, creative, process and results oriented;

  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both French and English;

  • Able to work well in a team and multi-cultural environments;

  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements;

  • Capability to develop business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering Geology or related fields;

  • Business development experience for large programs/contracts and client relationships supported by repeat business.
