Job Summary

Project manager construction services.The Project Manager will be responsible for the operational delivery of Build Projects, Build Programmes delivering end to end project services within programme deadlines within a set of clear performance indicators. This role will require significant interaction with the Client Team to maintain seamless communications and client confidence on all project delivery progress. The programme of work is fast moving and extremely demanding; this role will require strong management and leadership skills to motivate contractors and colleagues and provide excellence in execution.

Reporting to business line lead:

  • Lead projects delivery and implementing AECOM projects standards and procedures

  • Plan and structure project for success;

  • Full ultimate responsibility for the project on site / delivery

  • Set up project strategy including procurement routes, programme, construction logistics, design approach

  • Maintain client relationship

  • Report on project performance

  • Coordinate all project activities to achieve cost, programme and quality targets

  • Coordinate effectively client’s or AECOM consultants and contractors to deliver per contract

  • Attend regular safety meetings, ensure messages conveyed to the operational staff and contractors, manage the safety messages into the projects and audit to give confidence that the safety is being implemented in accordance with client and AECOM HSSE processes and procedures.

  • Lead Project Meetings to deliver all the stages of project development; delivery and close out, for example, scoping visits; design reviews; post tender meetings; cost plan reviews; pre-start meetings; regular site progress meetings; high quality handovers; financial close meetings; and safety audits.

  • Management of supply chain partners will form a large part of this role; ensuring that they perform to required and agreed project execution plans to meet the clients desired outcome. Ensure that work is delivered within the agreed values of AECOM and the client.

  • Deliver to client expectations while meeting and/or exceeding profitability targets;

  • Monitor financial performance of these projects in line with AECOM financial reporting, project reviews and other mandatory requirements.

  • Administer AECOM contracts and ensure compliance with company procedures

  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of the projects from an SHE perspective

  • Report regularly to management on any material issues involving the projects or our contracts

  • Support business development activities as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture , Master’s degree management a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 + years in project/construction management role with Main contractor or Engineering firms - International experience is a plus, Experience with leading Design build / EPC / EPCM contracts is a plus
