Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:

Supervises warehouse activities and personnel, ensuring compliance with corporate and contractual policies and procedures regarding acceptance, storage, inventory, and release of general order parts.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assists in supervising the warehouse staff including ensuring staff is adequately trained; coordinates workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of work; and monitoring and evaluating staff performance.

  • Identifies maintenance requirements of onsite company vehicles and material handling equipment in accordance with procedures and requirements.

  • Maintains experience of warehouse operations including acceptance, storage, inventory, and the release of all merchandise and property within the facility.

  • Ensures proper storage of property.

  • Implements and monitors recurring reporting of space utilization.

  • Plans, develops, organizes, directs, manages and evaluates operations within their assigned area of responsibility.

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

  • Assists in developing, communicating and enforcing warehouse operations policies and procedures.

  • Directs and controls corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures within their warehouse operations section.

  • Monitors key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the warehouse operations.

  • Remains current with latest warehouse operations technology systems and procedures.

  • Plans, organizes and directs warehousing related administrative services as required.

  • Performs day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork.

  • Prepares correspondence, reports, and statistics related to warehouse operations.

  • Interviews, selects, coaches, and trains personnel.

  • Confers with other Operations Managers to coordinate ongoing warehouse demands.

  • Review contracts, invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.

  • Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.

  • In accordance with the contract, all personnel performing work require United States citizenship or acceptable proof of naturalization prior to employment.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting up to 20 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/or organizing skills, and musts be able to work under deadlines.

Other Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Technical field; or demonstrates equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience: 7 years’ of experience in area of specialization. Knowledgeable of AS9102 Quality System and supply chain logistics. ASQ Certification, Six Sigma and/ or Lean Manufacturing certification desired.

Financial, analytical and statistical skills to resolve complex and conflicting objectives. Good oral and written communication skills. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel.
