AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Express Lanes Program Manager for employment in the Miami, FL office. Experienced working in a traffic control center or transportation management center environment. This engineer will be serving as an express lanes program manager covering approximately 14 miles of an express lanes system in the Miami area.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing and managing a staff of 10 express lanes operators
Development and updating of standard operating guidelines, attending meetings, production of reports (daily, monthly, and annually)
Provide engineering analysis on as needed basis
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in traffic or transportation engineering or other related field required
2+ years of experience
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Skilled in the use of Windows-based applications, preferred Internet Explorer, Word, and Excel
Knowledge of the freeway systems within Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties
Knowledge of traffic engineering and ITS concept
Knowledge of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras
Knowledge of Dynamic Message Signs (DMS)
Knowledge of traffic detection devices
Experience with Florida’s SunGuide central ITS software
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) on path to receive Professional Engineering license
