About the Business Line
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.
AECOM is currently looking for a Senior/Principal Acoustic Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Victorian Acoustics Manager you will be responsible to assist in developing the Victorian acoustics team, as well as acting as the Project Manager on large acoustics projects.
Lead acoustic engineering projects;
Delegate responsibilities as appropriate and provide guidance in overseeing, reviewing, programming and evaluating technical issues on projects to graduate staff;
Provide guidance, mentoring and technical support to staff;
Maintain an understanding of and promote all areas in which the group practices;
Initiate and maintain contacts within the buildings industry in order to assist the company in obtaining its work;
Ensure financial management of projects assigned including fee invoicing and debtor control;
Provide high level advice and service for the client and other members of the project team;
Plan and program design development and documentation activities to ensure key dates are achieved; and
Represent the company at meetings.
Engineering or Science degree qualified in a relevant discipline, post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage;
5+ years Acoustic Consultancy experience(Senior) or 10+ years Acoustic Consultancy experience (Principal);
Experience and demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor graduate staff;
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
Experience in building/architectural acoustics, environmental noise, and road traffic noise;
Experience and demonstrated ability to project manage large acoustic projects; and
Experience and demonstrated ability to contribute to office workload.
