Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. Job Summary

AECOM Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for a junior electrical engineer to join our Buildings + Places, building services team. The role is ideal for professionals with strong technical backgrounds who are looking for the next step in their career and have an interest in developing detailed design solutions and being responsible for the delivery of a range of exciting electrical engineering projects.

  • 130 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne

  • 80 Collins Street, Melbourne

  • Collins Square Towers 4 & 5, Docklands, Melbourne

  • Collins Square 727 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne

  • Queensbridge Tower, Melbourne

  • Data Centres (various Clients)

Minimum Requirements

As a professional electrical engineer you will:

  • Provide technical electrical engineering design.

  • Coordinate the electrical reticulation with the building services, architecture and structural design

  • Carry out general engineering duties to ensure quality and systems/process requirements are achieved.

  • Undertake site inspections and prepare reports.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Be an active member of the electrical engineering team and contribute to the team’s success

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally you will have:

  • 3 - 5 years' experience working as an electrical engineer in a consultancy environment

  • Demonstrated experience in the electrical engineering field.

  • Demonstrated experience in working in dedicated teams

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation.

  • Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of outputs.

  • Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines

  • Exceptional levels of written and oral communication
