Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly motivated Project Management Assistant for immediate employment in the Mechanicsburg, PA office. The appropriate qualified applicant will support projects from multiple business disciplines including environment, power, water and transportation.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination and interaction with a diverse team of AECOM project managers and various clients on occasions

  • Routine project support to include subcontractor procurement, purchase orders, check requests, contract documents, etc.

  • Assisting Project Managers by preparing project schedules and notify PMs of milestones for deliverables, meetings, etc.

  • Assisting PMs with project setups, reviews and updates in the AECOM accounting system

  • Assisting in tracking and monitoring financial performance of projects

  • Client invoice preparation support for Project Managers

  • Reviewing timesheets for temporary contract employees and send to agency for invoice preparation

  • Reviewing invoices from contract agency and prepare for payment approval by senior management.

  • Assisting with proposal preparation, copying and document submission

  • Providing document control services and working with AECOM project managers and engineers to submit documents for project deliverables

  • Using various client websites to submit documents and drawings

  • Keeping track of document submissions using a spreadsheet tracking system (already developed)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 3+ years of related experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Strong organizational, technical and communication skills

  • Financial accounting experience a plus

  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment

  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and self-motivated

  • Committed to working efficiently to complete tasks within budget and schedule constraints

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting environmental and engineering projects/programs

  • Previous consulting experience (understanding of client-drive schedule/work environment)

  • Motivated individual with strong multi-tasking capabilities
