Job Summary

The CADD Intern is responsible for updating and management of CAD drawings, and supporting various customers in accordance to our Statement of Work.

  • Working with an engineering team to complete revisions and update CAD drawings of architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

  • Revise CAD drawings from redlines as needed.

  • Provide support for Project Manager, Project Specialist or Design Specialist in areas including the interpretation of project documents, estimate, equipment selection, submittal organization, etc. as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient with AutoCAD 2012 or higher.

  • Knowledge of drafting and CAD standards of building systems with specific emphasis on Electrical, HVAC, and Mechanical (which includes the following: Plumbing, Fire Control System, High Pressure Steam & Condensate Systems, Chill Water Cooling)

  • General understanding of databases and their functionality.

  • Currently working towards a degree in a related field such as Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be a mature, professional, problem solver with a “get it done” attitude and strong self-motivational attributes capable of dealing at all levels in government, from executives to end-users.

  • Possess time management skills, emphasizing promptness and timeliness.

  • Familiarity with: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Excel 2007 or higher.

  • Able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
