AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary

This position is located in Mannheim, Germany.

Responsible for processing, reconciling, reporting, and archiving the activities and results of all physical inventories of government property under the responsibility and control of contract personnel.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Performs reconciliation of all inventories performed by Physical Inventory Branch.

  2. Assists Inventory Supervisor in developing production schedules, inventory reports, and availability of required material and priorities of customer orders.

  3. Downloads collected data from scanning devices and ensures scanners are operational for next day's inventory activities.

  4. Operates a computerized remote terminal.

  5. Ensures materials inventory stocks are frozen from issue transactions during scheduled inventory.

  6. Evaluates quality of each inventory performed to include all discrepancies (overages/shortages).

  7. Assures resolution of inventory discrepancies while ensuring accountability of all Government assets.

  8. Performs extensive research to ascertain origin or disposition of property located or missing from inventory.

  9. Coordinates inventory/scanning efforts with cooperating contractors, or contractors who are not part of the current inventory process, but have property assets involved.

  10. Discusses inventory activities and provides status to customer upon request or as scheduled.

  11. Prepares all reports, including final inventory reports or periodic status for all higher authority.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to situations where risk of electrical shock and vibration exist. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of two years general experience in business environment with accounting, distribution, manufacturing, supply, or transportation operation is required. A minimum of two years specific experience operating computer based legacy systems, and other office computer programs, and input devices, which scan and upload inventory information. Incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. An Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or related field required. Experience may be substituted for education at the rate of one year of specific experience for one year of college.

Position may require travel.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background check and a security clearance.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
