Job Summary

The Junior Project Management Unit is in charge of the execution process of projects, from contract signature to the closing down, delivery and approval of the final report and final payments are received, and confirmation by the client/beneficiary satisfaction certificate. This includes FWC projects funded by different donors, most particularly the EC.

Job Duties:

The Junior Project Manager, under the direct supervision of the FWC Coordinator, will be in charge of the implementation of FWC specific assignments, including the following duties and tasks:

  • General: implementation of FWC specific projects, including all administrative and contractual aspect vis-à-vis the different Contracting Authorities. Registration and management of documents in the PMIT (Project Management Information Tool).

  • Budget & Cost control of projects: Project budget execution supervision and improvement; budget control, supporting documents control and invoicing follow up.

  • Financial management and APIC: Budget cost control and financial monitoring of budget implementation. Tracking variances in AECOM information reporting tool.

  • Experts management: high level communication and relationship with experts, on a distant support basis: preparation of contracts and negotiation of payment terms; ii) experts deployment, support and monitoring; iii) supervise formal and administrative aspects of experts’ work.

  • Control, supervision and reporting support: quality control of reports prepared by experts, including format, and control of deadlines.

  • Consortia partners and other implementing partners: maintaining excellent relations with Consortia Partners, assisting them with internal rules and procedures.

Specific Skills Required :

Language skills


  • English, French and Spanish at very high level (at least C2 level in EU standards).


  • Other languages (Portuguese).

Minimum Requirements


  • At least 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in an international environment.


  • Project Management experience, preferably related to FWC projects and/or EU-funded projects.

  • Experience working with donors other than the EC

Preferred Qualifications

Training and education:


  • Bachelors Degree (Licentiate), preferably Law, Economics or International Relations; or MSC

  • Advanced user level computer skills


  • Knowledge of EU Aid Development projects
