We support our employees globally by coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of General Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, Marketing and Information Technology. Job Summary

You will manage the delivery of statutory accounts, financial accounting and reporting, monitoring invoicing, intercompany, treasury and tax ensuring compliance with US and Spanish GAAP.

Aecom Finance comprises a commercially focused team of 16 finance professionals located in Madrid. This is a key role within the Finance team and will report to the Finance Director.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure local statutory accounts and tax returns are prepared for all entities.

  • Primary point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants as they pertain to local entities.

  • Manage month end activities, US GAAP reporting and reconciliation to Spanish GAAPs.

  • Review Oracle monthly journals, e.g. accruals, prepayments, adjustments, provisions etc., and ensure adherence with Aecom accounting policies and financial controls.

  • Closely manage external 3rd party firm providing basic accounting services for one legal entity.

  • Liaison with Shared Service Centre for payments and invoice processing.

  • Cash management and liaison with Treasury department in Ireland.

  • Integration of Joint Ventures into Oracle.

  • Review the monthly mapping of Oracle into Spanish GAAPs.

  • Review the overseas branch accounting.

  • Manage the transfer pricing work done by external advisors.

  • Manage a team of 6 (2 Financial Accountants and 4 Accounts Payable Assistants).

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-10 year experience in similar role, preferably in a multinational.

  • Finance related degree;

  • Experience reporting under US GAAP;

  • Experience using Oracle.

  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential;

  • Stakeholder management skills and presence;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with projects.

  • Good written and spoken French;

  • Experience with Oracle Implementations.

  • Experience working with Shared Service Centres.
