Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to become an influential member of AECOM's Talent Acquisition leadership team within Design & Consulting Services Americas (DCSA). The Senior Director, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for all recruitment activities in the mentioned geography. The Director, Talent Acquisition will help transform the recruiting group to drive efficiency, recruit top diverse talent, and provide the organization with creative, unique and cost-effective recruiting strategies, processes and metrics. The incumbent will interface with management and partner with business leaders to influence them on the importance of talent acquisition and workforce planning. The Senior Director, Talent Acquisition will be a key element of a dynamic business that consists of enabling mature markets to gain market share and penetrating emerging markets, where they expect significant growth. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of HR, DCS Americas.

We prefer this leader be located in New York City or Los Angeles but other AECOM offices will be considered.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the enterprise team to develop a strategic vision for delivering talent in an efficient and timely manner to meet the on-going needs of the business

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for targeting top, diverse talent

  • Develop a cutting edge University Recruitment strategy that allows us to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace

  • Utilize continuous improvement practices to streamline and improve efficiency on our existing recruiting processes

  • Partner with the business and HR Business Partners to develop and implement proactive workforce planning and pipeline development tools

  • Lead the design and implementation of recruiting communication processes throughout the company

  • Proactively work with HRBLs and business leaders to develop pools for future business initiatives

  • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to identify and respond to changes in AECOM direction and objectives

  • Ensure the team is maximizing the applicant tracking system

  • Improve interviewing processes within the recruiting team and client groups

  • Leverage and improve key recruiting channels such as employee referrals, associations and diversity channels

  • Proactively analyze staffing statistics that will improve knowledge of market trends and help to improve overall performance of the organization.

  • Use metrics as a way to evaluate

  • Experience implementing a culture of accountability and results

  • Experience implementing WorkDay

  • Improve the employee experience and help to drive internal movement of existing employees

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or economics

  • 20+ years of business experience in a like size and scope organization

  • 10+ years of experience managing/leading a talent acquisition team

  • Experience managing recruiting in an organization of at least 10,000 people

  • Proven track record of successfully managing a large dispersed recruiting organization

  • Proven success at developing, mentoring and building a strong recruiting team, including remote locations

  • Prior experience in building a recruiting infrastructure (i.e., recruiting strategy, budget recruiting tools, resume and applicant tracking system, college recruiting)

  • Ability to leverage strengths of a global team to identify opportunities for global sourcing

  • Possess the experience, confidence, and presence to drive change

  • Experience using a variety of methods to qualify and recruit the top 10% of industry talent

  • Led a recruiting department in a company hiring at a high-volume of staff, professionals and executives

  • Have well-developed team building and influencing skills and unquestioned integrity

  • Ability to be forthright, receptive and persuasive throughout all levels of the organization

  • Drive the re-engineering of the recruiting processes and interviewing methodologies, resulting in a significant improvement in organizational quality and performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional services industry experience is a plus
