Job Summary

Will be responsible for providing project management across enterprise applications implementation teams. Will lead teams of internal AECOM and 3 rd party resources and be responsible for project planning, financial management and project execution for ERP (Oracle EBS) and related systems. .Specific duties include:

  • Providing thought leadership for all aspects of the system implementation lifecycle including conducting business requirements assessments, resource planning and project management.

  • Applying the AECOM project management methodology to manage risk and ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and within scope.

  • Managing project financials including vendor contracting/management, accruals, project accounting, project outlooks and cost tracking.

  • Working independently or partnering with business analysts to collect and document business processes and requirements from business users.

  • Providing input into system design and solutions based on business requirements.

  • Working independently or partnering with QA leads to determine testing needs and working with internal teams to define and execute end to end testing across multiple platforms.

  • Preparing materials, conducting and providing project status updates to stakeholders including Steering Committees, SME Committees, user groups and AECOM Executive Board.

  • Providing Change Management support to ensure coordination and implementation of training and communication activities.

  • Supporting implementation and production teams by facilitating meeting scheduling, agendas, follow up items, presentation preparation and issue tracking.

  • Ensuring resolution of identified issues via active monitoring, tracking and working with the functional and technical owners.

  • Monitoring, coordinating and leading key project cycles and implementation milestones such as user testing and test conversion cycles, cutover activities and instance access/preparations.

  • Assisting with and providing input to IT strategic plans, implementation roadmaps, budget plans and resource forecasting.

  • Mentoring and developing project management team members.

This position can be located in any major metropolitan area.

Minimum Requirements

  • Seven or more years project management experience in large-scale, complex, global system implementations that includes a solid understanding of key project management concepts and business practices and procedures.

  • Specific experience with ERP (Oracle EBS) systems projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems or related degree.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to work with and across various levels within global organization.

  • Strong leadership skills with particular emphasis on effectively leading without authority.

  • Must be a highly analytical and self-motivated individual with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

  • Practical knowledge and experience with project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.

  • Solid understanding of systems and ability to provide system solutions in response to business requirements.

  • Experience in project/resource management for enterprise applications such as ERP, BI or other accounting/financial systems.

  • Ability to self-manage and perform with a high level of competence and understanding of the subject matter at hand.

  • Ability to identify and resolve issues autonomously.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and balance competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI training/certification.

  • Previous experience implementing Oracle EBS in large-scale, complex environments.

  • Familiarity with financial processes and cost accounting.
