Job Summary

The Enterprise Strategy Group supports the development and execution of AECOM’s strategic vision. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Enterprise Strategy is tasked with leveraging market, client and operational data and insights to create a portfolio view for the organization and take a leadership role in identifying and executing against key strategic growth opportunities. Projects range from assessing global markets and developing market entry strategies to analyzing the profitability of businesses and supporting Operational teams in creating a more efficient and effective approach to project delivery to company-wide strategic planning.

Position Title – Senior Analyst/Analyst, Enterprise Strategy

Job Description

The Senior Analyst/Analyst will help advance the agenda of executive leadership by defining strategic direction and driving critical strategic initiatives for AECOM. This position will report to the Director and/or Senior Vice President of Enterprise Strategy. This position requires the acumen to address complex projects, balance multiple responsibilities, and influence key stakeholders. The position is based at AECOM’s corporate headquarters in Los Angeles and may require some travel.


  • Develop actionable insights and quality deliverables in support of key strategic Enterprise priorities; maintain flexibility and accountability in support of multiple initiatives

  • Conduct internal and external research and analysis to develop actionable recommendations

  • Assess global markets and develop detailed market insights and strategies

  • Support the development of corporate, business unit and function strategic plans

  • Build credible subject matter expertise and a personal brand across enterprise

  • Establish excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Executive leadership team

  • Understand the structure of the organization and data systems used to support team projects

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-4 years of work experience

  • Prior management consulting, private equity, or investment banking experience is preferred

  • Experience in research and analysis, strategic planning, and financial analysis

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external partners at various levels

  • Proven ability to think out of the box and challenge the status quo

  • Passion for business and desire to develop into a strong business leader

  • Positive attitude and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects

  • Highly comfortable with MS Office and corporate financial reporting systems

  • Prior operational experience in EPC industry is a plus
