Job Summary

Working closely with Senior Corporate Counsel and other Paralegals, will support AECOM’s Professional Licensing needs and requirements through:

  • Assisting with the processing and maintaining of state professional licensing and renewal efforts.

  • Coordinating with vendors on the migration of professional licensing information.

  • Coordinating with internal clients in determining the needs for professional licenses, identifying responsible individuals and complying with guidelines and procedures.

  • Providing attorneys and legal staff with information in regards to professional licenses, applications, renewals and reinstatements.

  • Developing expertise in state professional licensing requirements.

  • Preparing corporate documents including secretary certificates, officer and director appointments, resolutions, minutes and other documentation related to corporate secretarial requests.

  • Assisting with legal entity maintenance and the preparation of documentation for formations, amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies.

  • Performing legal and other research.

This position can be located either in our Downtown Los Angeles or Century City office locations.

Minimum Requirements

AECOM’s Corporate Legal team is seeking a responsible, proactive professional who can handle ever-changing priorities, possesses excellent interpersonal skills and has a positive, team-player attitude (including a sense of humor). Required skills, attributes, experience and education include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Two or more years paralegal experience at a law firm and/or large corporation.

  • Be a self-motivated individual with the proven abilities to anticipate department needs, work in a highly dynamic environment and handle highly confidential information with utmost discretion.

  • Excellent initiative, planning and organizational skills with great follow-through, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently with the team attitude that no job is too big or too small.

  • Possess the verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with various departments and levels within company.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

This position can be located either in our Downtown Los Angeles or Century City office locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state professional licensing practices (contractors, architectural and engineering).

  • Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program.
