We are seeking a Manager, Strategy and Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS) to work for our global Information Technology (IT) department. He/she will be a member of the global Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) extended leadership team with frequent interaction with CIO direct staff. The individual will focus initially on two things. First, strategy – assisting in the collection, presentation and ongoing maintenance of both 1- and 3-year plans as well as engagement in top strategic programs. Second, TaaS – helping to support, enable and grow the various client-facing and revenue-generating technology operations across AECOM. He/she will work closely with the IT leadership team, key business stakeholders and technology suppliers to help grow AECOM’s outward-facing technology capabilities. Specifically, this individual will:
Work closely with our IT Project Management Office (PMO), IT Finance team and CIO staff in preparing strategic plans and IT marketing material.
Assist the CIO and VP, IT, Office of the CIO in supporting key global initiatives for AECOM and the IT Department.
Assist the CIO staff in further consolidating and maturing our TaaS capabilities inclusive of areas such as smart, sensor-based and geo-spatial solutions; big data solutions inclusive of drone and building information modeling (BIM) analytics; and other billable solutions. Our focus is on consolidating disparate efforts, ensuring solutions can scale and ensuring we have the appropriate marketing in place to sell such solutions.
Support bids, pursuits to include assisting in bid responses and preparing client proposal presentations.
Provide technical support to our Technical Practice Groups (TPGs) and Knowledge management portals (Technical Communities) inclusive of setting up new content and delivering user training.
Maintain our services catalog of technology best practices, standards and commercially viable service offerings.
Maintain our “Win Sheet” where we track both past performance / success and capabilities.
Help facilitate the identification of repeatable and agile Solutions-in-a-Box for client projects.
Support global colleagues to incubate innovation and develop commercially viable service offerings. These include things like 3D printing, virtual reality and augmented reality and much more.
Conduct training and awareness sessions / webinars to proliferate best practices and service offerings. Recent examples include environmental management information systems, facilities assessments, barcoding, web and mobile GIS, smarter water management, big data, intelligent transportation and environmental data management.
Help improve our billable services processes for projects and, in some cases, manage programs.
Closely track and report-out on technology developments and innovations relative to AECOM.
Assist the CIO and core leadership in presentation materials.
Own benchmarking data and periodic updates for use by the team.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in:

Standing up IT-enabled tiered service delivery models in large global companies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s Degree. Concentration in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or related field is preferred. Master’s Degree preferred.
Seven to ten years of progressively more challenging leadership roles in information technology and/or operations. Experience in delivery of professional services, and preferably in an Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) business is highly preferred.
Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills are mandatory. Strong executive presence.
Breadth of technology experiences across applications, infrastructure, cyber and information security, service delivery and technology trends such as social, mobile, analytics and cloud.
An aptitude for finance. Has managed budgets.
Global experience preferred. Proven ability to work with a distributed team.
PMP and/or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
Ability to work in a matrixed, dual-report environment where not all resources are directly owned by you.
Experience in delivering process improvement initiatives and experience with business capability mapping tools such as process and value stream mapping, QFD and SWOT analysis, affinity diagrams and / or other related process-oriented tools preferred.
Strong strategic and analytical skills. Knows how to “tell a story” and solve problems.
Good interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills
Attention to detail. Meticulous.
High level of proficiency in business computer applications including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Willingness and ability to update Sharepoint and Salesforce.com content will differentiate the selected candidate.
Strong relationship building and consulting skills
