Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an FP&A Manager to support the development and achievement of the organization's goals and objectives by providing accurate, insightful and timely finance support, analysis and leadership. This individual will be responsible for analyzing and presenting financial performance metrics, supporting the delivery of key departmental initiatives and communicating monthly business results against agreed performance targets to the Finance Leadership team. The individual will also play a key role in the annual operating planning process. S/he will provide financial consulting and strategic support to corporate Leadership, including identifying, researching, analyzing and presenting critical business drivers, trends and project-level analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review of monthly performance with corporate leaders, including the interpretation of financial performance (balance sheet, P&L & cash flow) compared to Plan, Prior Year and Prior Outlook.

  • Drive initiatives to enhance financial performance -- identify, research and analyze critical financial drivers, risks, and opportunities.

  • Analyze, forecast, and present financial data to corporate leaders on a monthly basis.

  • Partner with Internal Customers to establish and maintain metrics for cost savings, process improvement, and management reporting.

  • Provide leadership to ensure financial plans are cohesive and aligned to overall Enterprise strategy.

  • Prepare and maintain financial models, including evaluating key assumptions, building scenarios and performing sensitivity analyses.

  • Provide finance support for key strategic initiatives and develop ad-hoc analyses.

  • Interact with a broad spectrum of cross-functional and geographically diverse colleagues.

  • Perform other related projects and duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required;

  • Related experience in finance and/or accounting of 5+ years within a public company of similar structure and complexity to AECOM;

  • Strong capabilities in and knowledge of business analytics tools. Experience with Cognos, TM1, Oracle, eProcurement systems and Hyperion a plus;

  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, including financial statements, key financial ratios, valuation models and techniques;

  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and advanced Excel; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets;

  • Strong organizational skills - ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;

  • Ability to establish strong working relationships. Effective at building appropriate rapport;

  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills;

  • Solid business acumen and ability to convey complex concepts;

  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and work successfully both independently and in a team.
