About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Due Diligence Specialist for immediate employment for the Long Beach, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Assist in the development and review of technical documents such as Phase I/II ESAs, site assessment reports, remedial action plans, and O&M quarterly reports
Serves as a key member of the AECOM Los Angeles Metro Due Diligence practice team, supporting and at times managing tasks for this group
Support site assessment and remediation projects for project managers in the Long Beach office as well as other LA Basin offices
Work closely with staff and spend time as needed in other LA Metro offices
Report to Environmental Department manager in Long Beach office
Support multiple due diligence projects under the direction of due diligence project managers
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology or related discipline
4+ years of experience with reputable consulting firm with focus on due diligence, including site assessment/remediation work
3+ years of experience conducting and writing Phase I ESAs using ASTM Standard
Ability to work independently at times with limited supervision
Familiarity with ASTM standard E 1527-13
Experience in all aspects of environmental due diligence including Phase I ESAs and property transactions
Working knowledge of relevant compliance auditing, including regulatory compliance, air emissions, storm water, storage tanks, spill prevention, wastewater discharge, soil and groundwater investigations, and hazardous materials waste storage and disposal
Working knowledge of property issues such as asbestos, lead, mold, etc.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and writing skills
Valid driver's license required
Travel will be required, but primarily to local sites
