About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
The Water Division of AECOM’s is seeking a talented and energetic Municipal Technician/Technologist for employment in the London, Ontario office for their Conveyance (Municipal Infrastructure) Group.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support detailed design and drafting duties for municipal servicing and land development projectsDemonstrate strong technical background and interest in municipal sewer and watermain design and reconstruction projects
Prepare civil engineering drawings, including area plans, grading plans, and plan & profile drawings
Complete sewer design calculations, and quantity take-offs
Work independently and as part of a project team
Strive for and maintain high quality and integrity of deliverables
Ensure issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action and follow up to assure timeliness of resolution efforts
Opportunities to provide inspection services on linear infrastructure project sites
Other duties as assigned, including project or meeting documentation, servicing report preparation and support
Technical or Associate's diploma in related field
0-2+ years of experience in municipal sewer and water main design, and reconstruction projects
AutoCAD Civil3D program experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Experience in municipal sewer and water main design, and reconstruction projects preferred
Land development design experience is an asset
Exposure to or experience in transportation-related work, including road and intersection design is also an asset
