AECOM is recruiting a Floor Champion who will be responsible for supporting the Site Facilities Manager, to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, and help to provide a safe and professional working environment for clients, visitors and building occupiers along with ensuring that all activity regarding mail, print and stationery are managed to support the core business and that all aspects of the office floor to which you are allocated is in a state or readiness, i.e. all desks and collaborative space is able to be used.
Implementing a daily health and safety assessment of an allocated floor, reporting any hazards to the site Facilities Manager
Walking the floor for being available to assist visitors and employees in finding available desks
Assisting with meeting room audio and AV set up
Role model behaviours that support the AECOM agile working approach at every opportunity. This will involve monitoring how the space is being used and making sure this is in line with our agile working policies. Specific examples of this will include making sure desks are clear when not in use, and meeting rooms/spaces and project areas are being used in accordance with our policies;
Working alongside colleagues in reinforcing behaviours that underpin agile working such as, supporting mobility across the building, availability of spaces, managing room bookings, clear desk policy on at least a daily basis and as required throughout the working day ;
Implementation of processes that meet our Health & Safety statutory obligations as directed by the FM lead;
Ensure that all notice boards are up to date, with relevant approved information;
Delivering work station assessments as required;
Responsible for the collation, sorting, distribution and despatch of all outgoing parcels and mail;
Responsible for the sorting and distribution of all incoming parcels and mail, including the maintenance of the internal recording and tracking systems;
Operating and maintaining the franking and mailing machinery;
Ensuring that the printers and plotters are available to be used at all times and the management of stock control of the associated consumables; ensuring that the print areas are clean and safe;
Ad-hoc collation of circulars and other print runs as required;
Maintaining an efficient ordering system for consumables and office supplies;
Ensuring office areas are kept clean and safe and arranging for the collection of any debris or unwanted items;
Maintenance of beverage machines (including a daily clean) and responsibility for the ordering of associated consumables;
As required, checks of the break out areas, in particular ensuring that the coffee machines are adequately replenished and that waste bins are emptied.

Confident and friendly in supporting agile working policies, e.g. reinforcing behaviors such as clear desk and leaving spaces as we find them.
To be successful in this role you will have;
Working knowledge of H&S risk awareness and hazard reporting;
Previous experience gained in a similar role
Very good verbal and written communication skills;
Attention to detail;
Ability to use initiative and manage changing priorities as they arise;
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook);
Good customer service ethic.
