Job Summary

AECOM is recruiting for a Construction Site Manager within the Environment and Ground Engineering sector for a range of projects with a strong focus upon earthworks, enabling works, decommissioning and remediation.

AECOM act as Principal Contractor and require an experienced individual to manage the contractual and logistical tasks associated with day to day management of site works.

Projects may be based around the UK and the role will be predominantly site based, but with regional office support.

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of remediation and groundworks projects around the UK. The role requires a combination of good practical skills, commercial awareness and cost/program management. You will be responsible for leading the successful contract delivery on behalf of the company by ensuring that the site team is fully apprised of the contract parameters and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives. You will be required to develop positive relationships with all parties associated with the contract and to ensure that the site activities are carried out in accordance with the programme whilst also making sure standards are maintained, including health & safety.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role we're looking for Candidates with the following;

Previous experience in delivering earthworks/remediation contracts

The role requires a combination of good practical skills, commercial awareness and cost/program management.

It is essential that you have experience in contract and site management of bulk earthworks and groundworks, whilst knowledge of remediation of contaminated land and geotechnical design would be beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying (or other commercially related discipline), Geotechnics, Earth Sciences, Geology, Remediation or other related discipline

Chartered professional with relevant body is desirable but not essential

CSCS competency card

SMSTS qualified (or equivalent) - essential

HAZWOPER qualified – desirable

First Aid

Clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel
