About the Business Line
Our talented experts are dedicated to managing the complexity inherent in construction projects, catering to each client’s unique needs. We provide services such as program management, construction management and owner’s representation to our clients around the globe.
Aecom are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Commercial Manager who will be accountable and responsible for the proactive management of procurement, contractual and commercial processes / procedures, cost control, reporting, risk management, project P&L and compliance with the project execution plan management.
The Construction Commercial Manager will have relevant and previous experience of managing projects up to £ 40 Million or trade packages up to £ 5 Million with a keen interest in site activities, they will assist in realising the AECOM safety for life expectations and ensure compliance with AECOM Vision & Values
Responsibilities within this role will include:
The commercial performance of projects / trade packages within the remit of ensuring that risk is mitigated / managed, effective management for change & claims commercial closure & that the project performs within the defined commercial expectations
Effective Management & Control of the project tender event schedule
Establish necessary monitors to ensure AECOM & project commercial compliance – insurances / tax certs / bonds / warranties etc
Responsible for the timely preparation of financial / commercial reports to the Senior Commercial Manager & Project Director
Interface with finance department to ensure & define business unit reporting / information requirements, that business unit complies with statutory obligations & that necessary liabilities are identified & managed
To be successful in this role AECOM are looking for individuals with extenstive experience in the following:
Commercial management of construction projects
Management of commercial staff
Strategic management of procurement
Resolution of contractual differences
Ability to be a strategic & innovative thinker
As well as the above you will have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in negotiating with clients and trade contractors
Technical understanding and working knowledge of forms of contract
Preferred Qualifications RICS, MCIoB
