AECOM is seeking a Quality Lead to be based in our Lloydminster Alberta location.
This position will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of Construction Quality requirements and maintaining surveillance of the project’s quality performance. Executes overall control, direction and management of contracted deliverables with respect to quality. Responsible for the development of project quality plan, Inspection & Test Plans for all disciplines, review quality manuals to incorporate the client specific requirements. Manages and coaches staff. Will have between 5 to 10 years of Construction experience within a Quality Management role.
Responsibilities may include:
Coach and mentor Quality staff on the project to ensure staff is following the defined process and procedures for the group
Perform Performance Management reviews with direct reports as part of the Employee Development Plan
Manage all quality deliverables and controls for shop fabrication
Prepare and participate in internal audits as per the Attest Schedule
Support in changes to Quality procedures and work instructions to ensure continuous improvement
Generate and review all Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) with Project Management to ensure compliance to contract requirements
Ensure that all employees work is performed within compliance of AECOM Quality Program
Set up key result areas and monitor/reports on the performance of the team
Complete required inspections and necessary reporting as per the approved Inspection & Test Plan
Ensure Work Instructions are followed
Complete & Transmit Client & Regulatory Authorities documents
Complete Custody Transfer Forms
Review and approve subcontractor’s procedures & Quality plans
Complete and ensure Nonconformance Reports (NCR's), Corrective Action Reports (CAR's), Preventative Action - Reports (PAR's), and Request for Information (RFI's) are generated and addressed in a timely manner. Review the effectiveness of proposed disposition and recommend changes for improvement
Complete Quality Surveillance Reports (QSR's)
Assist Workface Planning in package development
Attend and participate in various meetings to address or advise on quality issues and or progress from Construction, the Client, direct reports etc.
Effectively communicate with all departments and levels of the organization, as well as to the client as required
Ensure effective reciprocal information exchange
Represent the Quality team for all regular project meetings including the Quality stewardship meetings with the Construction Management team
Complete and submit monthly documents to appropriate Departments (e.g. timesheets, expense reports etc.)
Approve and submit any invoice/timesheets which have business unit expenditure to the appropriate projects

5 years’ experience in quality management
Supervisory experience required
CWB Level 1 or 2
A valid Class 1 or Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are requirements of this position
Knowledgeable with Provincial Regulatory Authority requirements
Knowledgeable with International codes and standards – CSA Z662, CSA B51 CSA W47.1, CSA W59, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes
Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Projects, Visio)
NACE Level 1 or 2
Valid Eye Test
CSA Internal Auditor
