Job Summary

  • Based in Laurel, MD

  • 60-80% OCONUS travel. Team members travel approximately 60%, those that want to travel more – travel up to 80%.

  • Travel time varies, generally one week.

  • OCONUS Travel is Worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Performs Journeyman electrical work in the operation, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and accessories.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments.

  • Troubleshoot design and system control problems and make emergency repairs, as required.

  • Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus.

  • Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment, as required for maintenance programs on the basis of all information obtained through tests.

  • Install conduit, wiring and electrical apparatus.

  • Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.

  • Perform other job related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of a Journeyman Electrical license or equivalent.

  • Thorough working knowledge of national electrical codes.

  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.

  • A willingness to travel to OCONUS locations for various lengths of time, as well as work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.

  • Six years’ experience in the electrical trade performing maintenance and/or construction.

  • High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, and currently hold a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
