Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Subcontracts Supervisor to be based in our Las Vegas, NV location.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable of the Company subcontracting systems and processes.

  • Understands subcontracting terminology and measures and recognizes subcontracting actions that may impact the project.

  • Participates with management in development of strategies and plans.

  • Participates in analyzing and using estimations to predict key project issues.

  • Understands construction means, methods, and sequences.

  • Supervises junior staff through task development, establishing and maintaining goals and expectations, and documenting performance related issues and achievements.

  • Identifies and develops talent.

  • Utilizes knowledge of estimating practices and how subcontractor pricing is incorporated into company proposals.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.


  • Entrants to this position required a minimum of 8 years in a construction environment in a subcontracting or other procurement and materials management function.

  • Previous construction field project experience

  • Previous experience managing client and subcontract agreements on a large construction project.

  • 2 + years of Experience in one or more of the areas of purchasing, expediting, transportation and warehousing preferred.

  • Ability to use procurement and materials management systems and processes.

  • Advanced ability to perform subcontracting functions.

  • Familiar with basic critical path schedules and able to use schedules in the establishment of subcontract milestones.

  • Knowledgeable of legal terminology within materials management terms and conditions and has the ability to evaluate and resolve risks due to deviations.

  • Possesses the skills for analyzing proposals to identify potential for cost savings and developing negotiation strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous Industrial/manufacturing construction experience

  • Previous automotive industry experience.
