AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical Engineer for immediate employment for the La Jolla, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Independently prepares design calculations or reports
Coordinates with Mechanical, Fire, Architecture, Structural and Civil disciplines for comprehensive building design or modification
Resolves issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements
Reviews plans and prepares or reviews technical specifications according to the contract documents
Coordinates and prepares deliverables (calculations, specifications and drawings) for submittal to clients
Interacts regularly with clients to expand work assignments or market new work
Assists with proposals to provide services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering
5+ years of facilities-related electrical project experience which includes design for new buildings, restoration or renovation projects
Knowledge of NEC interpretation pertaining to 480V and lower voltage design
Experience in coordinating MEP systems with architectural design and field experience providing construction administration services
Knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position examples: CADD (AutoCad and Revit), Lighting design simulation (Visual), Load flow simulation, Grounding simulation, ETAP, SKM
Ability to work under minimal supervision and coordinate project requirements in a larger department of supporting skills
Communication skills to clearly convey project information to internal and external clients
Valid driver’s license
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Motivated team player
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience with electrical design for commercial, industrial, government, health care and hospitality facilities
Experience with LEED sustainable designs and California Title 24 energy compliance
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in California or obtained within 1 year of employment
