Job Summary

Position: Safety & Health Officer/ Environment Engineer/ Security Officer – PMCM


  • Assist the Project Team in managing Supervising Consultants (SC) & Contractors in monitoring of the Safety & Health, Security and Environment requirements related to construction of the project

  • Interface and co-ordinate with PDP Operations and Task-force teams to assist in developing an integrated co-operative approach to monitoring Safety & Health, Security and Environment requirements related to construction of the project

  • Assist in implementing practices to reflect AECOM ‘Safety for Life’ programme focused on keeping employees safe on the job

  • Assisting the Project Team where necessary in implementing, monitoring and reviewing management systems to continually improve WPC safety and environmental performance;

  • Assisting the Project Team in reviewing as part of the SC’s review process, Contractor’s Health & Safety Plan, Environmental processes and Method Statements related to safety and other SHE related documents;

  • Involve in reporting incidents, accidents and near-misses without delay and assist formally investigate and maintain the records of the investigations in accordance with PDP procedure(s).

  • Undertaking daily visual inspections, reporting issues and submitting report to the Project Team via project reporting system. Follow-up the close-out of same with Contractor;

  • Check that SH&E standards and applicable SH&E regulations are generally observed and highlight deficiencies;

  • Check site security, fire, first aid and welfare facilities and procedures appropriate to the works and highlight non-conformance;

  • Set a high personal example of Health & Safety, Security and Environmental at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in monitoring safety and health, security and environment requirements in a construction project set-up

  • Has sound knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations in Malaysia related to Health, safety and Environmental fields;

  • Computer literate and have good communication skills with proven ability to speak, read and write reports in English;

  • Excellent working knowledge of industry practices/ safety/ security/ environmental/ quality management systems;

Preferred Qualifications

  • A recognized Degree of Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sanitary Engineering, or any related field;
