Position Title: Site Inspector-of-Works/ Clerk-of-Works – PMCM
Report to Assistant Construction Manager (ACM)
Assist ACM in managing and supervising Contractor(s) team in monitoring the construction of the project.
Interface and co-ordinate with PDP Operations and Task-force teams to assist in developing an integrated co-operative approach to conduct, monitor and manage the construction observation inspections and the construction progress of the project.
Assist in implementing practices to reflect AECOM ‘Safety for Life’ programme focused on keeping employees safe on the job
Assisting ACM where necessary in implementing, monitoring and reviewing management systems to continually improve project progress performance.
Involve in reporting progress of the construction works at site and undertaking daily visual inspections, reporting issues and submitting report to ACM via project reporting system. Follow-up the close-out of same with Contractor;
Assist ACM for Construction inspection as directed by the ACM.
Set a high personal example of the Project Management team at all times.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in managing canal & marine work/ dredging & reclamation /infrastructure/ utilities/ road & bridges/ park & landscape works;
Sound knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations in Malaysia related to Construction fields;
Computer literate and have good communication skills with proven ability to speak, read and write reports in English;
Must possess good working knowledge of industry practices/ construction/ safety/ environmental/ quality management systems;
- A recognized Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
