Position Title Assistant Project Manager (Contract)(Based in Sabah)

Job Summary

  • Assist the Project Director/ Project Manager in his/ her duties

  • Prepare and manage project changes, budgets, qualities and timelines, and ensure effective implementation of the internal change management processes

  • Prepare and provide necessary briefings to the Project Director and Company Management in regard to the performance of the project in terms of schedule, quality, risk and cost

  • Prepare and provide briefings to the Project Director in regard to all material matters relating to the administration of AECOM’s services contract including change and variation management as well as Extension of Time.

  • Prepare, edit and approve monthly reports to Client, and attend to necessary project related reporting in meetings and events by the Client.

  • Liaise with other AECOM business lines, if necessary and coordinate the works

  • Ensure that all AECOM’s internal procedures and controls are fully complied with, in particular to Ethics & Compliance as well as Health & Safety protocols.

  • Liaise with Clients on technical coordination issues pertaining to procedures, submissions and approvals.

  • Visit construction sites and attend subcontractor progress meetings in order to have working knowledge of current project status and issues

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing canal & marine work/ dredging & reclamation /infrastructure/ utilities/ road & bridges/ park & landscape works;

  • Knowledge in CONQUAS/ QLASSIC is an added advantage;

  • At least 8 years of experience managing canal & marine work/ dredging & reclamation /infrastructure/ utilities/ road & bridges/ park & landscape works/ environmental works;

  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English;

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills in managing a team of site personnel, contractors and sub-contractors;

  • Must be proficient with the regulations of the local authority and other relevant compliances;

  • Must be willing to be based on project sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • A recognized Degree in Civil & Structural/ Mechanical & Electrical Engineering/ Construction Management or equivalent
