About the Business Line


We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer to assist with surface water related projects and report to the Water Resources Manager.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Conducting Stormwater inventories on behalf of municipal clients

  • Developing hydrologic and hydraulic models from GIS databases using SWMM-based software

  • Working closely with municipalities and undertaking drainage and stormwater related projects

  • Developing concept, preliminary, and detail designs of stormwater facilities

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree in Civil Engineering with a Water Resources focus.

  • 2+ years of experience in stormwater, water resources, hydrology/hydraulics, and related fields.

  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario

  • Knowledge with hydrological and hydraulic principals

  • Experience with SWMM, PCSWMM, InfoSWMM or other modelling software.

  • Experience with construction and design principals of surface water related infrastructure

  • ESRI ArcGIS experience

  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

  • On-site construction / inspection experience

  • Surveying experience

  • Experience in conducting field work
