AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary

Purpose and Scope

Perform tailored logistics support analyses to ensure institutional designs are optimized for long term life cycle supportability and the initial and full operational capabilities are established in a timely and cost effective manner.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Develop or modify Spare Parts Analysis in accordance with requirements.

  2. Procure configured spare parts for newly assigned or modified FSEU.

  3. Identify acceptable delivery time from time of order, system application and justification.

  4. Gather key project details such as facility profiles, site and building drawings, operations and maintenance plans.

  5. Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels.

  6. Determine customers’ needs for operations and maintenance requirements.

  7. Conduct site visits to assess and document operations and maintenance practices and procedures.

  8. Investigate, analyze, and write specifications for equipment and material handling systems.

  9. Analyze design drawings and provide supportability assessments to design teams.

  10. Prepare and present technical content, proposals, analysis, and feasibility reports.

  11. Provide critical review of proposals and reports through technical narrative editing.

  12. Provide support to Logistics and Engineering Services, Safety & Mission Assurance, Propellants & Life Support

and FSEU Operations.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related field and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Must be familiar with the Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP). Ability to develop and maintain a mission readiness assessment system preferred. Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. U. S. citizenship required for unescorted access to assigned work area(s). Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check with/Inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications

Must be familiar with the Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP).

Ability to develop and maintain a mission readiness assessment system preferred.
