About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water /Wastewater Project Engineer for immediate employment in the Kelowna office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers
Support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, and wastewater sectors
Working knowledge of water / wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal and/or Industrial environment
Work effectively with senior engineers
Complete technical calculations to support design decisions
Prepare and process mechanical drawings using Revit
Prepare technical specifications
Assist with the preparation of technical reports
Prepare P & ID’s
Complete construction inspections and associated documentation to support the Contract Administrator
Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years related water /wastewater experience
Registered as an EIT or P.Eng. in the province of BC
Understanding of civil engineering, civil technology and construction management principles and is very familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure
High level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done
Ability to use Autodesk products to prepare design drawings
Excellent written and oral communication is essential
MMCD Contract Administration certification
