About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security/Operations/Facilities Manager on our Afghan Integrated Support Services (AISS) location Kabul Afghanistan. Manages the daily operations, security, and facility support requirements. Positions Reporting to this Function: Base Operations, Facilities Maintenance, CCTV Operations and Contracted Security Providers. Manage the daily operations, security, and facility support requirements at the AISS Compound 4 located at the Central Warehouse facility. Coordinate and ensure written security standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other related security policies for AISS are developed in coordination with the AISS partner security managers ensuing unity of effort including CCTV requirements. Assist in security preparation, assessment, and consultation of AISS physical assets, including offices, compounds, vehicles, and living accommodations. Work with the Program Manager and the Country Security Director, enforcing corporate’s security policies and procedures across the entire project. Develop, oversight, report and establish clear measures of performance for overall program effectiveness including a monthly roll up. Submission of a weekly Operations, Security and Facility Reporting. Prepare and submit monthly work completed reports to the Program Manager. Prepare annual reports that summarize the achievements and results of AISS’s operations, security, and facility programs. Conduct regular physical inspections of all facilities to ensure they meet AISS standards. Responsible for the establishment and implementation of a preventative maintenance program for all facilities and equipment including all EMS and AMT sites. Responsible for quality control of all maintenance services within the AISS compound. Manage the facilities maintenance staff and ensure they perform to program standards and respond to all operational needs. Coordinate with Property on billeting assignments. Work close with the Procurement Department to obtain equipment, materials, and assets necessary for all aspects of program operations within the LSA. Ensure a timely response to requests for repairs within the AISS Compound. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AISS Safety Policies and Procedures. Instill a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Five (5) or more years professional experience as an Operations /Security Manager (preferred).
Five (5) or more years Supervisory experience (preferred).
Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.
Possess a high degree of knowledge in Operations and Security.
Must have demonstrated excellent planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience monitoring risks, and recommending measures to mitigate risks.
Must be an independent thinker one who can act with little or no guidance
