Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Superintendent of Rail Transportation to be based in our Jersey City, NJ location.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day to day operation of Rail Operations, including customer service, all personnel and the department budget.

  • Manages all major accidents, incidents, or service outages.

  • Ensures all training of all Transportation personnel, is performed in accordance with all HBLR and DOT regulatory rules.

  • Oversite of the Control Center.

  • Oversees the investigations of all major and minor accidents and incidents on the service territory.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent, Associates degree in an applicable transportation discipline preferred.


  • 8years of experience on a major rail systemasa Train Master/Superintendent/General Superintendentposition with demonstrated supervisory experience.

Must possess a valid driver's license with no moving violations or suspensions within the last 3 years. A Certified Drivers Abstract presented at the interview is required to validate driving records
