Job Summary

This position will work for AECOM Hunt.


Support pre-construction and operations department through the preparation, monitoring and updating of schedules and by providing planning services. Performs all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company’s culture, corporate vision, ethics and code of conduct.

  • Prepare, update and analyze detailed project schedules for both marketing and active projects.

  • Contribute to the development of working schedules for pre-construction prior to the proposal date that sufficiently illustrates the sequence of work activities and contract time.

  • Provide information as needed on the content, modification or presentation of project schedules.

  • Maintain master schedule for each project and identify and record the impact of work performed and not performed as scheduled.

  • Understand and guide project team on proper construction sequencing, activity durations and typical project constraints that may adversely affect construction activities and schedule.

  • Interface with operations, owner and subcontractors to discuss impact of work on the schedule and serve as technical advisor for the resolution of problems.

  • Will assist the project team in the development and management of the project schedule and will continuously analyze the schedule offering alternative recovery schedules as required.

  • Incorporate delay impacts into all project schedules as required.

  • Report project delays and all issues impacting project performance to the Division Scheduling Manager and Director of Scheduling.

  • Assist project personnel in creating look-ahead schedules to determine impact on master schedule and help formulate actions to correct.

  • Constant analysis of the critical path activities.

  • Identify scheduling software training needs among employees.

  • Assists the Director of Scheduling in the training of project staff and new members of the scheduling department, including update knowledge on advancements in scheduling technology/software.

  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills in order to enhance individual and team productivity.

  • Perform additional tasks as assumed through personal initiative or as required by the operating needs of the project/department or higher authority.

Minimum Requirements

  • Four-year construction or engineering degree with 5-10 years' experience in scheduling for large-scale construction.

  • Sound knowledge of scheduling engineering systems principles and practices required.

  • Proficiency in use of computer scheduling programs and computer software programs necessary.

  • Must be proficient in the use of P6 and familiar with other scheduling programs, including P3.

  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
