Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Construction Project Administrator for immediate employment in the Houston, TX office. The incumbent will work in a field office on the Highway & Bridge reconstruction project on I-45 located between Willis & Huntsville. The successful candidate should be familiar and comfortable with a construction project office environment. The successful candidate may have to work in the office alone at times due to the construction staff being in the field. The work hours may range anywhere between 6am-6pm any day of the week but anticipate 40 hour work week. The work hours will be determined by your supervisors. Employee’s time begins when they arrive at the project field office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Filing, preparing documents and presentations, drafting correspondence, preparing draft budgets, verifying pay quantities, etc.

  • Close coordination with the client and contractor

  • Ensuring staff follows the project document control procedures

  • Assisting the Bookkeeper in reviewing, verifying and preparing documentation that is entered into programs such as Site Manager, CAPTRACK, and SharePoint; this will include assisting the bookkeeper in: monitoring to ensure all the construction records required are being performed in a timely manner such as DWR’s, traffic control inspections, SW3P inspections, wage rate interviews and other that may be required by contract

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma

  • 2+ years of administrative experience

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office

  • Excel - capable to perform calculations and formulas

  • PowerPoint – good understanding of program

  • Word – Efficient at making tables and charts

  • Effective writing skills and efficient at grammar and spelling

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years working with TxDOT

  • Undergraduate class in business/teaching/accounting/etc.

  • Understanding of Site Manager

  • Familiar with TxDOT procedures
