AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouseman Labor contract located in Redstone Arsenal Huntsville Alabama. Performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Completes and signs documents. Performs related tasks such as building/repairing boxes and crates, cutting and fabricating cartons, bag making, processing and e-packaging items, cutting stencils, making labels, operating a variety of cutting, sealing, and other packing equipment and weighing material. Loads and unloads conveyances. Uses remote computer terminals to process receiving, storage, inventory, and/or shipping data into a central computer system. Locates requested items by physical description or by comparing identifying information on documents with stock tags, bin markings, etc. Based on type of material, mode of Transportation, etc., chooses location for assembly of required stock. Assures items to be issued and/or shipped are properly marked, tagged and palletized if required; tallies out shipment and signs documentation. Performs work that meets all Federal and international regulatory packing and shipping requirements. Use computerized equipment to access regulatory requirements for processing hazardous items. Prepare and process all documentation, special handling labels, shipping codes, and required safety data. Maintains assigned bin or bulk storage areas with responsibility for security, fire and safety. Maintains central location file; utilizes automated equipment and computers to develop computerized inventory data, access materials, and fill item requisitions. Responsible for processing of documents or data handled; independently uses computer terminals, keyboards, and optical scanners to develop coding data or with traditional printed shipping and receiving documents, making written and automated entries and verifying data in printed formats. On occasion operates stake body trucks and other general-purpose vehicles up to 10 ton.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supply or maintenance environment, and be familiar with Army Regulations.
Shall obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance, if required.
A forklift /MHE handling certification maybe required for this position.
Must possess all requisite state/federal driving licenses requirements to include CDL, if required.
- Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) of a 92A & 92Y.
