Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager for our office in Houston, TX to expand our Water Resources practice in the Houston Metro Area. AECOM is one of the nation's leading water resources firms with opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients on water resources planning, engineering, and design projects. The successful candidate will have relevant analysis/design/management experience in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, green infrastructure / low impact development, coastal analyses, and PS&E development.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for delivering complex water resources projects for municipal, transportation, and land development clients

  • Support business development efforts

  • Staff management

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field)

  • 5+ years of experience civil engineering consulting or engineering management company

  • Professional Engineers licenses in one or several states in the Gulf Coast region

  • Demonstrated project experience in one or more of the areas listed in the summary

  • Demonstrated experience and client relationships in the municipal/public sector marketplace

  • Demonstrated proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling

  • Demonstrated proficiency in drainage PS&E development

  • Reputation as a high performer

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • Professional Engineer’s license in Texas

  • Proficiency with SWMM modelling software and drainage system design using GEOPAK
