AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Survey / Rod Person for employment in the Honolulu, HI office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Works on a survey crew and performs manual duties as directed

  • Assist in measuring survey lines, grades, and elevations

  • Must learn to operate rod, prism pole, tape and various surveying instruments

  • Perform manual tasks such as clearing brush with machete and saws, drives stakes, carries level rod or prism pole

  • Upkeep and maintain survey equipment, survey vehicles

  • Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks

  • Normally receives detailed instruction on all work under close supervision

  • Assumes rear chain person position during survey assignment

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid drivers license

  • Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with field surveying and performing surveying tasks

  • Computer literate

  • High School Algebra & Trigonometry
