AECOM Support/ Cross Services comprises a number of important functions which develop and implement solutions to support our businesses and to help them meet the needs of clients. Its role is to ensure that the Business Lines operate effectively, in alignment with AECOM’s overall corporate goals. The activities cover Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, Marketing and Communications, and Administration.

Job Summary

As a member of the AECOM Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, the Talent Management Lead in APAC provides design expertise around organizational development and program management. The successful candidate is hands on and can balance OD/talent management theory with practical execution and the ability to deliver. The individual is an analytical and critical thinker, with the ability to partner with key leaders from across the business and leverage data and key performance indicators to clearly articulate ROI, measure effectiveness and make recommendations on how to continue to strengthen and evolve talent practices.

As a key member of the Talent Management CoE, the individual is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing initiatives, programs and processes that support development, engagement and retention of leaders and professionals across APAC. The position involves managing a team of Talent Management specialists across the region.

Reporting to the Senior VP of HR, APAC and the Senior VP, Talent Management, this position works collaboratively with business leaders, HR Business Partners and Talent Management counterparts to assess the development needs of the geography’s employees. Develop and implement strategies and programs that will support Enterprise business goals and strengthen AECOM’s talent, support engagement, and contribute to organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess talent development needs and drive and facilitate development programs aligned with business objectives, focusing on: leadership and management development, succession planning, performance management, career development, high potential development, and employee retention and engagement

  • Oversee development and implementation of new training programs and resources that build leadership and management capabilities

  • Provide consulting expertise to business leaders and HR Business Partners on a broad array of employee and talent development issues and recommend appropriate strategies and solutions

  • Recommend and leverage internal and external resources to create, customize, and enhance programs to meets the needs of AECOM’s businesses and build workforce skills and competencies

  • Identify and manage relationships with external partners and vendors that advance the capabilities and effectiveness of development objectives and programs

  • Develop and implement methods to evaluate program effectiveness, and monitor and track results

  • Research and recommend innovative practices and solutions to advance the solutions and resources provided to support leader and employee development needs

Minimum Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Talent Development, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, including consulting with all levels of leadership and senior HR partners

  • Experience managing the full cycle of complex learning and employee development design projects, from needs analysis through to implementation and evaluation

  • Expertise with application of learning technologies to create management and professional development programs and curricula

  • Demonstrated expertise designing, driving and implementing management and leadership development initiatives, and talent development and learning programs and processes

  • Hands-on experience in leadership development, high potential employee identification and development, manager development, supervisor development, performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, career planning and development

  • Knowledge of learning technology and instructional design best practices and relevant industry trends; experience using learning technology as a key component in overall development strategies

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop credibility and rapport and establish effective working relationships with all levels of leaders, business stakeholders and HR colleagues

  • Exceptional project management skills; ability to manage both the people and the details of the project through to successful implementation

  • Proven ability to use influence skills to achieve results and effectively impact change

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, engaging and dynamic presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently on projects, as well as be an effective team leader or member

  • Strong change management skills, ability to manage ambiguity and enthusiasm for a rapidly evolving environment

  • Excellent English, Mandarin/ Cantonese is an asset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Learning and Development, Industrial/Organizational Development, Instructional Design or HR Development
