AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary

This position will work a 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday;11:30 am - 8:00 pm)

Pull stock, pack/re-pack wide variety of material using specialized techniques. Verifies condition code of items being issued, determines method of pack per MIL STD 129N. Conforms to requirements of customer as required by destination method of shipment. Reports to department lead for daily work assignments. Supervised by intermediate level lead and direct supervisor. The current opening is on the 2nd shift. The incumbent may be asked to work a swing, and/or rotating shift, which may include weekends and holidays, however. This announcement may also be used to fill any temporary, and/or part-time, future openings, if needed. Must have a valid driver’s license, must be able to obtain and maintain NACI.

Follows work order or oral directions for issue of material and packing material.

Determines proper container/packing material/method of fabrication.

Use plans, drawings to select, measure, cut, form, and pack.

Provide packing and set assembly support duties as required.

Load material on and off of skids, pallets, stands.

Prepare labels as required.

Receive data from and input data to DSS and other automated systems in performance of duties. Verifies kind, count, and condition. (KCC)

May operate MHE as assigned and hold appropriate license.

Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.

If assigned to work with radioactive material, must have ability to receive training and qualify for certification.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification:

Minimum six months general experience. Minimum six months specific experience performing packaging processes. Must have high school diploma or GED. Must have valid driver’s license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Shop environment with hazardous equipment, moving MHE, obstacles and high volume activity. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, have full dexterity, and correctable vision. Outside work in hot and cold or wet weather is often required. Work environment often has fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is loud. Protective devices are required to avoid injury.
