Our IT Asset Management Team are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to start a career in Administration within the IT sector, someone who likes to keep busy, has a flexible outlook and enjoys working in a team.

Forming part of the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Information Security (GRCIS) Team, the IT Asset Management Team are responsible for Hardware and Software Asset Management across Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.

Working closely with the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Specialist, the HAM apprentice will play a key role in supporting the refresh of all hardware over 3 years old as well as providing additional support to the Software Asset Management Team.

The ideal candidate will be expected to provide help to the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) specialist as they introduce and implement a robust set of processes to support the way hardware assets are managed in the new asset management tool Flexera.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a student to receive on-the-job training, within a multi-national, dynamic and fast moving corporate environment, whilst continuing part time studies on an IT Business Administration course through a locally identified college. This will enable them to hone their academic skills (ensuring real opportunities for personal growth and career progression).

Successful applicants will continually develop their administration skills whilst being allocated a senior member of the team who will provide mentoring during the development period (typically over a 2 year programme). Study will be funded – whilst the individual earns an income as a permanent employee of AECOM.

Minimum Requirements

• GCSE Level – Maths and Functional ICT skills of Grade C or above

• Excellent ICT skills - MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. In particular ability to analyse and manipulate data into reports

• High attention to detail

• Confident in dealing with people - Develop relationships with internal IT teams

• Well organised – able to plan and structure day to be efficient

• Customer Service – A willingness to help others

• Previous experience of working/performing in a team environment– Comfortable sharing ideas and working with the team to implement changes

• Enjoy problem solving – ability to review the problem and work through issues to seek a resolution
