Job Summary

Our Transportation team continue to grow and we have currently a fantastic opportunity for you to bring your technical expertise in the area of transport planning to our Hamilton and Tauranga teams.

We will provide you with the opportunity to get involved with projects further afield in New Zealand and Australia as opportunities arise and will appeal to someone interested in working in a collaborative team environment on small and large projects.

Day to day you will be leading transportation planning projects, leading and assisting with preparation of tenders and bids and business case writing.

Minimum Requirements

We are seeking a transport planner with around 10 years of experience and appropriate tertiary qualification who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment on small and large projects and is able to demonstrate:

  • Experience leading the delivery of transportation planning projects.

  • Project management skills.

  • Business case writing.

  • Good understand interaction between land use planning and transport planning.

  • Client focussed with proven results in building client relationships and business development skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; report writing and development of proposals.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience in the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Walking & cycling projects;

  • Familiarity with transport modelling and economics;

  • Undertake economic evaluation of transport schemes;

  • Complete funding applications for clients;

  • Supporting project-related communication and social impacts;

  • General guidance and mentoring of junior team members.
