Job Summary

As part of the strategic initiative, Global Delivery Center (GDC) organisation has been established in AECOM India to provide a wide range of technical services to other parts of AECOM offices around the world. At present, GDC has a core team of 150+ personnel experienced in Building engineering and Transportation design, located in Gurgaon, India. Further growth is underway to meet the plan of establishing 300+ team size, by the end of FY16, to provide technical services in multi-disciplinary building engineering, Architecture and Structural disciplines. In the initial phases of growth, dedicated teams are formed to cater to the needs of UAE and UK offices of AECOM”.

You will be responsible for developing technically sound HVAC design solutions, preparing HVAC design documentation for international projects, assisting with resourcing and planning, managing cost control as well as supervising and managing Revit HVAC staff.

Job Summary:

  • Reviewing and checking mechanical HVAC reports and drawings to ensure quality of output.

  • Provide high level technical expertise when applying mechanical HVAC engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of building services projects.

  • Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.

  • Communication to governmental authorities.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience on working in the HVAC design.

  • To work for the design of the residential, commercial, retail and hospitality sectors. High rise building experience is preferred

  • Experience in the design of the HVAC (Central cooling plant, chilled water piping distribution, air duct distribution, variable air volume systems, ventilation, DX systems, VRF, etc.)

  • Should be knowledgeable in building design services, associated regulations and technical standards, in addition to coordination requirements with other disciplines

  • Should be able to lead a team of 4-6 staff for delivery of project and review of drawings and documents etc.

  • Experience in the HVAC software (IES, HAP, Trace and Elite), Navisworks, MEP Revit, Excel, Power Point and Word

  • Capable of working on as own initiative, as an overall responsibility and accountability.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Good attention to details

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering. Experience of working on Sustainable Design with LEEDAP, BREEM or any other equivalent memberships shall be advantageous. Memberships like CEng, ASHRAE, CIBSE shall be desirable..
