About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer with expertise in network distribution system, collection system, and transient analysis hydraulic modeling for employment in the Greenwood Village office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform hydraulic modeling associated with distribution system, collection system and transient pressure analysis
Work with a team of hydraulic modeling professionals to manage technical tasks, complete quality assurance/quality control reviews, and prepare high quality work products including documentation of model development, calibration, results, and reports, including the application of engineering judgment.
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD MEP
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil engineering with an emphasis in water/waste water or other related field
5 + years of experience in water/wastewater engineering design and analysis
Experienced with distribution system network analysis hydraulic modeling software including but not limited to InfoWater and WaterCAD
Experienced with collection system hydraulic modeling software including but not limited to InfoSewer/InfoSWMM and SewerCAD
Experienced with transient pressure hydraulic modeling software including but not limited to InfoSurge, HAMMER and KYSurge
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Experienced with industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
PE Registration in the state of Colorado
7+ years’ experience in hydraulic modeling related to distribution system, collection system and transient pressure analysis
