Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Traffic / Signal Engineer for immediate employment in the Greenville, SC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting traffic engineers and project managers on projects related to traffic capacity analysis, feasibility studies, traffic modeling, signal design, signal timing, signal systems, ITS, traffic operations, safety analysis, pavement management, traffic impact analysis, traffic calming, railroad corridor safety studies, and other related traffic engineering work

  • Working in a team as well as independently

  • Any other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • ABET Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • EIT

  • Prior experience with Synchro and HCS

  • Experience preparing traffic studies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with the client in a professional manner

  • Basic knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer

  • PTOE

At least 3 years of experience and knowledge of:

  1. Traffic capacity analysis

  2. Traffic impact studies

  3. Operational simulation analysis

  4. Traffic Signal Design

  5. Timing Plans

  6. Geometric design and construction documents

  7. Synchro

  8. HCS

  9. AutoCAD

  10. Microstation
